I have a lot of very random things to talk about today, that seems to be a theme for this week. So let’s get started. First off, D and I graduated from Notary Public school yesterday and got our diplomas. “>
I have to admit that I’m not really sure what powers my new title affords me. I really want a badge. I’m pretty sure that I can marry people now, and Darling Husband Carl thought it was highlarious that I think I’m a bounty hunter. I thought he was going to fall off the couch he was laughing so hard. So that was big news from yesterday.
Yesterday morning, D and I were standing in the lobby before work chatting when we noticed one of our office chipmunks staring in at us. He was staring at us very intently, and didn’t get scared when we walked right up to the window to stare back at him. I have a very blurry photo to share with you.

D wants to call him “Chippy” or “Chippers” or something like that. I’m thinking something along the lines of “Senor Beady Eyes”. There was a suggestion of “Leon”, who is our IT guy. So what say you, readers of BigSkyMind? What should we name our office chipmunk? Leave your suggestions in the comments. I’ll have a panel of judges select the winner.
Rum Runner Sock #2 is chugging along. Here is a photo.

I actually got a lot done last night while watching tv. I’m almost to the heel.
My Zen String July Sock Club yarn arrived yesterday. It is Harmony, which is a merino/tencel blend. The colorway is called Dragonfly. I don’t think this first photo does a very good job of showing off the brightness of the colors.

I tried to enlist my new yarn assistant Oscar to help with my photos, but he is still in a diva funk. Think I’m kidding?
“>
I’m pretty sure he is a sullen teenager in a cat’s body.
I would like to send a BigSkyMind shout out to Mike B.’s sister Ann and her fiancee Matt. They are getting married tomorrow. I hope everything goes great as they start the beginning of a wonderful life together. As for me, I’m heading over to take Mom and Dad out for a little belated Anniversary Celebration. Have a great weekend everyone.

The dragonfly yarn really does resemble dragon fly wing color! Though not typically a fan of teal tones, the yarn name makes me like it. I too feel so powerful now that I’m a notary republic. 🙂

Or maybe “Notey” in honor of your new skills.
Comment by Troy August 3, 2007 @ 2:16 pmI’ll bring my cat, Michael to the office over the weekend and we’ll call that chipmunk “lunch”.
