Cheap Trick

The song “Surrender” by Cheap Trick was just playing on my radio.  Do you have songs that transport you back to a place and time?  “Surrender” is one of those songs for me.  Every time I hear it, it takes me back to high school (yes, I’m that old) and reminds me of the “tough” kids from my school.  They were the ones who wore black leather jackets, had long hair, smoked cigarettes, hung out at the Quik Stop before school.  I think they may have had a garage band, I’m not sure, I was WAY to square to be part of their crowd.  Anyways, I know they loved Cheap Trick and that song.  Hearing it always reminds me of them, and makes me happy.  I’m not quite sure why, it’s just always a nice memory for me.  Weird, huh?

P.S.  My favorite Cheap Trick song is actually “Dream Police”.  Just in case you were wonderin’.  Have a great weekend everyone!
